Amazing Glenfinnan Viaduct trial!

Hi friends, thank you for stopping here. Hope you all enjoyed my third blog about Metro Trains Around the World.

Welcome to my fourth blog.Walking in nature is always fascinating, it gives me a feel of rebirth, an emotional attachment to nature. Nature has to tell more to me; I need to travel more and more to explore and experience the real secrets of nature.

Today I would like to share with you about the most refreshment I felt hiking the Glenfinnan Viaduct trial in Scotland. Either you are climbing Scotland’s tallest peak or experiencing the famous Loch Ness on foot, the Country’s Highlands is a walker’s paradise!

The famous Glenfinnan viaduct carries the railway to Glenfinnan Station across a 1000 ft span,100 ft above ground. The Jacobite steam train featured in Harry Porter movie runs from here to Fort William and Mallaig in summer with regular trains available the rest of the year. After the movie release, the number of tourists visiting this place doubled especially harry porter fans.

The steeps and curves of the muddy paths, the majestic view of Glenfinnan Viaduct bridge, the beauty of Loch Shiel, surrounding mountains with Ben Nevis(tallest mountain in the UK) in the distance, station view ,the wooden paths and at last reaching the station museum is a perfect escape.

The hike from the Glenfinnan viaduct viewing point to the train station takes less than an hour there and back. The path is very well-marked and for sure you cannot get lost. The hike is uphill for the first half but it’s simply manageable. The freshness of the air, the wind, the loneliness of evenings, the beauty of sunset made hike more pleasant and refreshing.

The Glenfinnan Viaduct trial is worth for those who want to see the excellent scenery in limited time. The Walk was perfect, only 2.5 miles. The Glenfinnan Viaduct is historically important to Scotland too.

At last for refreashments.
